class=\"mco-b5-content-block-description\"><p><strong>A clinical trial is a scientific study conducted in humans\u2014with voluntary participation and under strictly controlled conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>he aim of a clinical trial is to examine in detail:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how a new medicine, vaccine, or other treatment works,<\/li>\n<li>whether the treatment is safe and how well it is tolerated,<\/li>\n<li>what side effects may occur, and<\/li>\n<li>what dosage is appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The results of a clinical trial form the basis for assessment by
