MSD Switzerland Welcomes Young Talents on National Future Day

Lucerne, November 12, 2025 – As part of National Future Day, MSD Switzerland will open its doors tomorrow, November 13, to children in grades 5 to 7, offering them a hands-on and inspiring insight into the world of medical innovation.
At our locations in Lucerne-Tribschen, Schachen (Canton of Lucerne), and Zurich, students will take part in a variety of creative and educational activities that spark curiosity and showcase the diverse career paths at MSD:
- Interactive workshops: In Zurich in English and in Tribschen and Schachen in German, children learn more about MSD, their parents’ work, and how our teams worldwide contribute to improving patient health.
- Behind-the-scenes look: Guided by MSD employees, the children explore our buildings and laboratories and gain insights into drug development as well as the interdisciplinary collaboration of our teams.
- Game “Medicine or Pokémon?”: A playful challenge where children guess whether a name belongs to a medicine or a Pokémon – an entertaining way to learn more about pharmaceutical naming conventions.
- Design challenge: In small teams, children invent a fictional disease, develop a fictional treatment, and present their idea in a short marketing pitch. This activity fosters creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking.
- Festive cake finale: The day ends with a sweet celebration to honor the children’s creativity and collaboration.
“At MSD, we nurture the next generation of thinkers and innovators,” says Jasper Kunow, Interim Managing Director MSD Switzerland. “National Future Day is a wonderful opportunity to share our enthusiasm for science and health with young people and inspire them.”
